MSc in Computing Information Technology

Duration: 3 months/6 months/1 year

Tuition Fee: £4, 550.00

Information Technology is a buzzword in the world job market.  IT personnel are one of the highest paid employees in big companies.  With MSc from TCL students will get an in-depth understanding and a clear awareness of the current technologies and the future direction of multimedia and information systems.

Admission Requirements:

Honours Degree from a recognised Universities in computer science or Bachelors degree preferably with an additional diploma in computing and information systems Progression Opportunities Programmes such as MPhil/PhD can be applied for after the completion of MSc with TCL.

Flexibility

Students can enrol in any of the three sessions, allowing them flexibility to finish the course within one year of the commencement irrespective of the session start date.

MSc Programme outline1 Object Oriented Development 2 Integrated Systems Development 3 Usability Engineering 4 Advanced Operating Systems 5 E – Commerce Systems 6 Advanced Database Development 7 Network & Client Server Systems 8 Management Information Systems 9 Dissertation after the completion of all the modules Dissertation.
The course requires the student to write and submit an original project on a topic approved by the tutor. The length of the project should be between 10,000-12,000 words.

 

BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information System

Duration: 3 years

Tuition Fee: £3,950.00 (Per Annum

This course is best suited for students who intend to pursue a career in professional IT consultancy, software engineering or further research in computer science.  The BSc programme is designed to fully equip the student with all the expertise needed to fill a wide range of positions relating to computer science.  BSc graduates from TCL will be capable of fulfilling expectation in an increasingly pervasive technology industry.

Admission Requirement

A Levels or equivalent or Higher Secondary certificate with good grades Progression Opportunities.

Programmes such as MSc or other masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or other postgraduate diploma or research courses can be applied for after the completion.

1 Software Engineering and Development 2 Database Systems 3 Programming : Advanced Topics and Techniques 4 Telecommunication and Computer Communication.

Third Year
1 Electronic Commerce 2 Mathematical Techniques of operational research 3 Software engineering Management 4 Compilers 5 Accounting Information Systems 6 Decision Support & Executive Information Systems 7 Individual Project

Project: The project work is expected to take 300 hours of the student’s time.

Note: The classes are designed in such a way that one third of the syllabus is completed in one session.
