Examinations.
The Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants is now the second largest body
of accountants recognised by the statute in
the United Kingdom. The ACCA combines the
benefits of traditional accounting skills
with a wide ranging and forward looking
syllabus, which recognises that finance
professionals are increasingly required to
demonstrate a wide combination of strategic
thinking, excellent communication,
managerial skills and efficient IT
Management.
Membership of the ACCA is obtained only by
examination and relevant commercial or
industrial experience. The ACCA accepts
graduates from any discipline. Exemptions
may be awarded by the ACCA if they consider
that the prospective students have already
successfully completed some of the subjects.
